  The late great (well clichéd) Pavarotti. Just amazing to listen to and sing to his treatment of Italian songs as well as classics and opera. The songs (some of which are so well known in English) always sound much better in Italian, and usually produce more tears as well - they just seem to tug at the heart-strings more compared with the English versions.
