My comparison relates to the sound from the DAC in my recently
owned Bluesound Node 2i streamer, differences between DACs are usually very subtle but in this case there was a noticeable improvement with the SU-1, improved clarity and better focus of the stereo image and more solid bass. Only thing which would have made it better would have been to have 2 optical inputs rather than 1 optical and 1 coaxial input which necessitated me buying an optical switcher (see my other review of that). For the money this DAC is an absolute steal as well as visually complimenting my Arylic S10+ streamer as shown in the photo.
