  So i have recently got a new amplifier but this did not have a pre-amp built in.
  
  This device connected between the turntable and the amplifier meant I was able to listen to my records again.
  
  The metal casing gives a feeling of durability.
  
  I like the fact that there is a separate on/off rocker switch - not always present at this price point.
