I wouldn't trust this in industrial use, especially as it doesnt have any kind of automatic feedback to the device to stop it once it probes the material.

For me on my small CNC mill this works just fine for zeroing material using manual jog, as long as theres a conductive path from the spindle to the workpiece, as I just bump the ball into the workpiece as slowly as possible, and it conducts via the strap on the piece to the spindle assembly and thus the body of this probe.

I then just manually zero the controller.

In industrial use, I'm not sure this would work, as it needs to be able to feedback to the machine which this cant, unless some mills can hear the beep perhaps?

The battery is listed as "Rechangeable" which I assumed meant rechargeable, however it definitly isn't and in fact theres no battery supplied. It needs either 2x 1.5V UM5 20L 32L or a 12V UM5 32/20LB 20S according to the instructions.. I have no idea what those are but 2x 1.5V N batteries seemed to work just fine for me.

Accuracy wise, its fine for me, but I have no way of proving if it would be accurate enough for real work unfortunately, Im not sure Id trust it.
