  Just back from holidays where I used this numerous times in the sea to video underwater. It worked great and the camera was completely protected from water/sand etc. I actually left it on the camera most of the time as it provides good all-round protection anyway from knocks and scratches.
  
  The only negative was that drops of water used to collect on the area in front of the lens when it came up out of the water and that could distort the picture, but I don't actually think there is any way to avoid this unfortunately.
