Something tells me I'm into something good to here. This 2006 release which does a much better job than ABKCO's 2004 Retrospective rounds up all of Herman's Hermits UK singles (a and b sides) recorded for EMI compiled in chronological order with a couple of stateside only releases tagged on to the end. What makes this 2cd Very Best of a unique collection is its inclusion of the other side of the singles. Something not usually found in a hits mix and that's why this one is so special. A large slice of 60's and early 70's Brit pop that would not normally be commercially available with decent mastering and very informative notes included with the booklet. Not so much a Very Best of, though all the hits are here, more like a singles anthology. 56 tracks in total! Just be aware that the flip side of the hit might not be of the same quality (sometimes they are better) but for nostalgia buffs like me, especially if you like 60's British Pop Music, it's a musical feast.
