  A good off-camera monitor the price. The resolution at genuine HD is useful for focus checking. Lower resolution monitors I tried are impractical for this and best avoided. The screen is not as bright as the advertising makes out - but brighter alternatives are considerably more expensive. It doesn't record but has an HDMI feed. Someone needs to make a monitor to the same spec that has a simple recorder, but cheaper than the Atomos alternatives (hint!).
