This is a game changing sensor. It’s brilliant when it works but it requires setting up and tuning.
First off, the Lux sensor updates quick and is very good. Best one I’ve got. It is really useful for monitoring light levels.
Second, the sensor has so much potential but it requires you to accurately set out the zones.
One thing that will catch people out is not using ‘entrance/exit zones for doors. The sensor can still think you are in the room and gives unreliable readings if you don’t.
Next is the is the sensitivity setting. There is one for each zone. There is also one in the settings. If you have the settings too high, you get ghosting.
Then there is interference zones for things that move such as fans, curtains etc. This prevents false positives.
The sensor works really well with HomeKit. I wish it they were cheaper to buy.
