- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 June 2020Bought this refurbished Dell for connecting it to an old Nikon Slide Scanner and it works like a treat. Really good value for money. Instead of buying expensive new Slide Scanner, I could fit a new extension card for IE1394 Firewire cable and install new software which recognised the old slide scanner on Win10. Brilliant. I paid the fraction of the price for a new professional slide scanner and got the 15 year old one working.
The machine itself came with Win10 Pro installed, switched easily to my Microsoft account, updated it easily, fitted new extension card for port all pretty sublime. Speed of the thing is very good as well.
Only thing was that the front cover plate and the DVD drive wasn't properly fitted and weren't aligned. Since i had to open the case anyway, i was able to rejig the DVD rom into place and refitted front cover and all working great now.
This was pretty much a perfect experience in terms of them sending it to me, receiving it and getting it to work for my little project.
Will consider this in the future anytime now! Recommended !!
