  the bottom plate has very difficult mounting options due to being the same as the top plate, i spoke to smallrig and they said this was the new version, i asked for bottom plate from the old version, but they said it was dis-continued,,very dissapointing because can to screw to tripod it is sitting way forward due to no middle screw hole on baseplate, design of this is flawed, they seemed to have just thrown a top plate on the bottom to save designing an actual proper tripod secureing baseplate,,,works but ,,,only just.
