  I have had one of these fans for over two years. It's got a good airflow. We have it in the bedroom. On the floor and angled upwards, it sends air up and over us rather than directly at us when in bed. It's not the quietest fan, but the noise is a steady level so it's not annoying. We both go to sleep with it on.
  
  It has three speeds but except on the warmest nights we have it on the lowest speed. I don't think we've ever run at at the highest one.
  
  Of course it doesn't cool the air like air conditioning would but it does move the air about and helps keep us cooler in the night. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this model.
