Firstly, the only con was the instructions. Mainly IKEA ones with blurred pictures.
However once product is assembled using it to sharpen a chain is very easy!
Just mark the starting tooth roll round and sharpen, then reverse chai cut other teeth and sharpen.
Re- install chain on saw making sure you get it the correct way around, the chain cuts like a hot knife through butter.
Highly recommended product !!!!
Time saving too.

The instructions tell you to fasten the unit to a workbench using screws, that are not supplied, but leave the chain slot clear. I found this almost impossible to do as the base is U shaped and to leave the gap for the chain free requires a purpose built bench with a 2 inch slot cut in it. Eventually I clamped it to my bench with a couple of G clamps but this gets in the way of the adjustments to sharpen the chain.
In short, the instructions could be clearer, the use is frustratingly difficult and it is impossible to secure safely without some sort of dedicated work space.
It also comes with about 15 inches of cable so an extension or a workplace impossibly close to a wall socket is required.
If you persevere, as I did. It does eventually do a reasonable job of sharpening a chain but by the time you have invested in all the additional bits and pieces to get it safely and comfortably useable you may be better off buying a more expensive alternative. I spent pounds to save pennies.
But it sharpens chains and is easy to use once you clear all the set up hurdles.

I have added some photos to try and show the problems I had.

Not a bad little product, but a few things I noticed. Once it's bolted to the bench, of which it needs to be at the front of, and have a slot cut in the bench to accommodate the chain, you can not adjust the screw that allows you to change the degree of cut, so if like mine it comes loose, you have to unbolt it from the bench. 🤔 Bit of a design fault, and I am not sure I want to cut a slot in my bench, so mounted it on a separate board which I can then clamp to my bench. 👍 Also a bit flimsy, but it does the job well enough, and quicker than a file, so all in all its pretty good. Would recommend!
