This is a very nice pico prototyping board; it has a good layout with clearly marked pins and makes both 5V and 3V3 supplies available as separate connections. To assist with learning to use the pico, the board has a number of LEDs, buttons and a buzzer, so you can quickly learn to use micro-python for basic input and output without any consideration for the constraints of building with discrete electronic components.
The GeeekPi Github repository had a number of nice simple projects to get people going with this new Pico microcontroller.

This starter kit is a circuit board with intergrated components including a buzzer, a breadboard, 4 x LEDs, 4 x buttons and an empty chip socket which is ready for the Rasberry Pi Pico micro-controller. It provides an excellent starting point for a beginner like myself to experiment with the capability of Rasberry Pi Pico. The kit also includes a bundle of male to male jumper wires which are of different colours. These jumpers wires are useful for making connections on the breadboard. Different colours of jumper wires help me to differentiate between types of connections.

There is a mouting hole of M2.5 on each of the 4 corners of the circuit board. If required, I can easily attach the circuit board to another surface using the copper pillars and nuts included with the kit.

To make the most of the kit, I am going to order from ��غ�� a copy of the "Get started with MicroPhython on Raspberry Pi Pico".

I would recommend this product to you. 5 stars. It is good value for money.

this is a raspberry pico basic starter kit, which include almost everything i need to start my first pico project, there is a main circuit board with built in leds, buttons, buzzer, power pins as well as 2 rows of external header pins

as soon as i start to wiring, i found the jumper pack included contains all male to male jumper wires, that’s completely useless, as all the on board pins are male, how come the start kit only includes male to male wires? what i need most is female to female wires for connecting pico header to onboard pins, also female to male wires for connection between pins and the breadboard

fortunately i got some old jumper wires handy so i could continue to use the starter kit, or i have to wait 1-2 days for ordering correct jumper wires

anyway, with the correct wires, everything work perfectly! this product is very useful for small projects, as frequently used components are built in already

i’m happy with this product, would recommend

This board comes with a pack of dupont wires and a breadboard (which attaches via sticky pad), and features 4 press buttons, 4 LEDs (blue) and a buzzer. Once the Raspberry Pi Pico is in its socket and powered via USB cable, the 5V and 3.3V power is available on pins at the top of the geeekpi board, so these can be wired to the breadboard for driving your circuits. The web URL in the product description takes you to the geeekpi Github site, which has a lot of micropython examples, showing how to use the buttons, LEDs and buzzer (and also other peripherals not in this kit such as LCD display).

I found it easy to set-up and use, and successfully used the buttons and LEDs. The buzzer has a habit of squeaking if you accidentally touch the BEEP pin on the board; it is best to wire this to GND if you are not using it. You will need a few female dupont cables (the ones supplied are only male-male), as the Pico breakout pins and those for the LEDs, buttons and power are all male pins.

However, like these, it makes constant tweaking of the hardware connections and jump wires, switches etc a little fiddly. Using this as a breakout for the board, along with the included breadboard makes everything a little easier to bughunt, test alternative layouts and generally develop with.

This starter kit is perfect for those who are learning how to use the Pi Pico. It comes with everything you need to start experimenting and learning electronics while you program them! The board has built-in buttons and LEDs and even has a buzzer. The pico is easily inserted into the socket and fits snugly. You can then use the breakout pins and the jumper cables to start connecting your components with the Pico. The half-size breadboard can be stuck to the designated area on the board to be able to connect more components to the Pico. The breadboard helps keep everything compact and tidy. I did however have to dig up and find a few other jumper cables as I received the wrong ones in my kit, which would only work if I was using the breadboard alone.

Overall, a great piece of kit, that is perfect for beginners. I'd suggest buying a mixture of jumper cables as the ones included in my kit were not the right ones needed to connect the pico to the breadboard. It's also better to have more, as you never know where your imagination may take you!

the buzzer buzz always if you don't put a wire from it to ground on the other side of the breadboard (not usual).. all the leds, push buttons, etc, need to be "wired" from the Pi Pico to the pins on the board using female/male wires jumper.. the breadboard is translucent and broke my eyes.. i'm not able to work with this type of configuration where any project will have a "spaghetti" look with those wires dependancy.. returned..
