16 RGB WS2812 Light Ring

The 16 RGB WS2812 Light ring contains 16 individually addressable RGB LEDs arranged in closely spaced circles, all of which can be controlled by a single digital output of the microcontroller.
It is based on WS2812.
You can use it in conjunction with pico to make wearable devices, reminder devices and other applications.

MPU6050 Module

These MEMS (microelectromechanical system) gyroscopes have paved the way to a completely new set of innovative applications such as gesture recog nition, enhanced gaming, augmented reality, panoramic photo capture, vehicle navigation, fitness monitoring.
The MPU6050 has both a gyroscope and an accelerometer, using which we can measure rotation along all three axes, static acceleration due to gravity, as well as motion, shock, or dynamic acceleration due to vibration.
It supports only I2C Communication and hence. it must be con nected only to the I2C Pins of the Raspberry Pi Pico.

LCD1602 Display Module

LCD1602 is a kind of dot matrix module to show letters, numbers, and characters and so on.
It's composed of 5x7 or 5x11 dot matrix positions; each position can display one character, The model 1602 means it displays 2 lines of 16 characters.
Because the PCF8574 chip is welded by default to make the connection more convenient, I2C can be used for communication, and any single-chip microcomputer can easily find the corresponding drive information, which is very suitable for displaying sensor information and using it as a prompt screen

Firstly this is a great kit provided the GeeekPi team, offering excellent value for money... but there are a couple of things that I would have appreciated being added being a complete rookie in the use of electronics and pico boards.

1) Header Pins for the board! I had to check the contents on the listing, as I thought my shipment may have been missing them, but no, they're not actually included in the kit, and as the pico board doesnt come with them pre-soldered, I'm left with no way of actually connecting the Pico board to the breadboard Kit. It would have been nice if there were some provided so I could have the option to solder them on myself. That said, I've opted for the safer route and purchased a Pico board with them already one. I don't trust my soldering yet.

2) The Programming starter kit provides details on how to do a few basic projects... all from a Raspberry pi Linux install. Now I do have a RP 4, but that's busy doing other things at them minute, so I'm opting to use my Laptop which is Windows 10. It would be great to the same projects in a W10/VS Code setup so that those of us not familiar with Linux stand a fighting chance of getting these projects going within a couple of hours, rather than spending that time figuring out how to get this setup up on a Windows Device.

Those are just my thoughts tho, and YMMV.

Ich bin als Rentner gefühlt schon ewig bei den kleinen Boards. also Esp / Arduino, dann halt in C programieren. Damals hieß das noch MSR, also Messen - Steuern - Regeln. Später mit dem WII-Projeckt die ersten Quadcopter gebaut ehe es diese dinger überhaupt gab, dann Pause. Nach langer Zeit mal ein Wiedereinstieg und gleich ein umstieg auf mehr Leistung und andere Programierung ( C kann der Pico aber auch ). Ich bin begeistert, ein Spass für Alt und Jung. Ob "nur" zum lernen oder gleich zum etwickeln eigener Projeckte, dieses Set bietet einen grossartigen Einstieg in die Welt der Microcontroler.

5. le livret : fort succint. plusieurs liens à télécharger

pour moi, un retour de 40 ans en arrière et rejouer avec de l'électronique
(ressortir fer à souder, multimetres, oscilloscopes, générateurs, ....)
il y a même des leds bleues (les premières que j'avais vues coûtaient à l'époque l'équivallent de 10€ sur commande

j'aurais aimé mettre 4,5 mais j'ai du me rabbattre sur 4*

Example codes/scripts are not up to date. Like half of them gives one or several error messages. Except this, a pretty nice starter kit to play around with. A generous number of sensors included 👍
- It would be much better if the codes were compatible and up to date in order to try the sensors; without hours of searching for compatible libraries and code problem solving.
