The August DVB482 Set Top Box is the culmination of technical advancements in DVB-T, DVB-T2 and PVR recording technology. This version has been updated with the added functionality to watch and record live TV from two different channels, simultaneously! When your favourite shows clash, you don’t have to settle, you can watch both back-to-back by recording one while watching the other. Then, simply play the recorded show off of the USB or Hard Drive you connected to the DVB482.

Easy To Use

Retaining a simple plug-and-play set-up using the provided power cable and your home coaxial aerial cable you can be Freeview HD ready in just a few minutes. Connect the Set Top Box with HDMI to enjoy full 1080p pictures on your TV. In dedication to making entertainment accessible to all, the DVB482 still includes a SCART port, too, so you can use your old SCART cables if your TV is not HDMI-Ready. Access up to 120+ UK Freeview and Freeview HD channels, plus Freeview Radio Channels in the UK.

Schedule Recordings and Timeshift

If you manage to miss the start of a show from all the excitement then you can rewind and catch up in real-time, no need to wait for the show to go up on catch-up services or use any internet! Schedule your recordings ahead up to one week in advance with the full week-long Electronic Program Guide. Plan ahead, set recordings and reminders, and never miss a show you love again. Recordings are scheduled right from the EPG so you can set up a last-minute recording in a couple of clicks of the included wireless remote. The EPG, recording menu and interface are all easy-to-use and designed to be communicative and intuitive. You can use the Schedule page to set up to 8 different recordings up to two weeks in advance! These can be any time in the future and custom durations. 2 of the recordings can overlap and record at the same time.

Timeshift functions like pausing and rewinding, Set Top Box controls, as well as the functions of your TV itself, can all be accessed from the single DVB482 remote in an innovative all-in-one solution.

Look ahead at the week’s entertainment with the 7-day rolling EPG. Once you decide what you can’t miss, schedule up to 8 recordings (Two recordings may overlap at any one time). Alternatively, sit down and watch Live. If you just miss the start you can rewind, or if you need to make a coffee you can pause instantly from the remote and resume later, even fast-forwarding the adverts!

How Do I Cancel scheduled recordings? - You Cannot cancel recordings through the EPG. Instead, press Menu > System Set Up > Schedule. This is a list of all scheduled recordings. Select one to edit and change “Timer Mode” to “Off” that will remove scheduled recording setting.

What is “Speed too slow to record” - Most of the time the recording still gets made. It’s also not a consistent issue and just because it happens once doesn’t mean it won’t go away. The issue is to do with how fast the data is written to the USB. If the recordings fail, advise a faster/larger USB 3.0 drive designed for faster transfers, or a USB external SSD

How Do I change channel while recording? - If there are recordings going on you cannot access the EPG or Schedule options. Please ensure you know the channel number you wish to switch to and type in using the number pad. For best results, use the EPG or Schedule to arrange recordings days or weeks in advance.

Volume + and Volume - Buttons Don’t Work - The volume + and volume - individual buttons at the top of the remote allow you to control your TV settings all through the one remote. If volume is still too loud or quiet please use the DVB482 volume button on the left of the remote to adjust the volume further. How To Connect The DVB482 Remote to my TV? - The DVB482 can pair with your own TV remote to control volume and source all through one remote. To do this, hold “SET” on the DVB482 remote for 3 seconds. The red light will stay on. Hold the Volume Down button on your TV remote and hold the two remotes towards each other. The remotes will pair and the “TV” section of the DVB482 remote will now behave as if it is your original TV remote.
