I have found this light stand to be very compact and lightweight.
It is made out of a mixture between iron and aluminum and this combination is giving it a good robustness which is very desirable as in general these stands are prone to be knocked over especially when they are extended to their full length and have a weight on top.
This stand seems to be very well balanced and as long as I have kept it with the weight attached to it below 4 kilograms I have had no problems whatsoever.
The fact that the alloy also contains iron doesn't mean that they have compromised on portability as it is also made from aluminum and with a weight of around 1 kilogram it is very easy to carry it around with me as it is both light and it also collapses down to a mere 56 cm. It also comes with a pouch which I can easily throw over my shoulder and off I go.

The feet have a good expanding range making the stand quite stable and they have rubber grips which help prevent skidding when sitting on hard floors especially.
I like the quick locking mechanism which affixes onto the central pole and with a simple flick I can release or lock it back again and this way it allows me for an easy height adjustment from any of these locking levers. Lowering or extending the stand can be done from any of these locks and also the segments don't have to be fully extended before the next one can be operated as I have seen with other stands, this way making it a versatile and easy to operate.
It also comes with a very useful ball head which can move up and down on a 90 degree angle this way allowing for light fixture to cover area depending on the users needs.
I have been very satisfied with this light stand, offering easy operation and being very lightweight and compact.

This is really stable and easy to set up, and with both the range of usable heights and stability this has been a really good addition to my kit. The finish is good, the included bag is great and it stays where you put it with no problem at all. Once you're done it collapses to a manageable size and isn't heavy. I've used it with a range of lights, from small panels to quite heavy spots, and it's done the job in every situation. Good value for what you get.

Man bekommt ja sehr oft, wenn man sich Beleuchtung für die Fotografie kauft, solche Lichtstative mit dazu. Diese haben aber oft starke Qualitätsschwankungen, manchmal sind gute dabei, manchmal auch sehr schlechte. Daher war es für mich interessant zu sehen, wie sich dieses Lichtstativ im Vergleich zu diesen günstigen Lichtstativen macht.

Der erste Pluspunkt ist schon mal, dass ein Transport bzw. Aufbewahrungsbeutel dabei ist. Dann bekommt man noch einen Kugelkopf oben drauf. Dieser ist zwar recht klein, aber einen Blitz oder eine kleine Videoleuchte kann man damit durchaus gut positionieren. Für größere Blitze oder Leuchten verwendet man ohnehin den Neider des jeweiligen Gerätes.

Man hat ein Standard 1/4" Gewinde am Kugelkopf, kann aber auch den mitgelieferten Aufnahmezapfen verwenden, je nachdem, was man als Lichtquelle verwenden möchte.

Von der Qualität her ist es gut gemacht, deutlich höherwertig als die meisten Lichtstative, die man sonst mit den Geräten mitbekommt. Zugegeben, ich bin kein großer Fan von diesen Klipverschlüssen, da man diese nie nachjustieren kann, wenn einmal die Spannkraft nachlässt. Die mit Schrauben kann man einfach bei Verwendung so fest zudrehen, wie es gerade nötig ist und man hat immer einen optimalen Halt. Klar sind die Klipse schneller, aber eben auch nicht so stabil. Allerdings muss man bei diesem Stativ dazu sagen, dass diese Klipse schon wirklich gut zuhalten im Vergleich zu so manch anderem Lichtstativ.

Was bei diesem Stativ anders ist, ist die Arretierung der Beine, diese wird nicht wie bei anderen Lichtstativen über eine Schraube befestigt, sondern man findet einen großen Ring, der die Mittelstange umschließt. Dieser wird zum Öffnen bzw. Festziehen gedreht. Das hält so weit sehr gut, lässt sich auch recht stramm festziehen, natürlich sollte man es nicht übertreiben, gut handfest reicht auf jeden Fall aus.

Der Preis von 44,90€ (zur Zeit des Schreibens dieser Rezension) ist gerade noch so im Rahmen. Da der Kugelkopf enthalten ist, denke ich, ist das noch in Ordnung, ohne wäre es schon sehr teuer. Dennoch ein gutes Lichtstativ, das qualitativ gut gemacht ist. von daher auch 5 Sterne von mir und eine Kaufempfehlung.

Zu erwähnen ist aber noch, dass es in Verbindung mit einer Softbox, ich spreche von den etwas schwereren, die über den Bowens-Anschluss an den Blitz kommen, schon sehr leicht kippen kann, weil einfach ein großes Übergewicht einseitig vorliegt. Kleinere Softboxen bzw. solche, die wie ein Schirm angebracht werden, sind kein Problem, da diese deutlich leichter sind.
