This design is not compatible with Quest 3 at all, and as you start digging into it, you realise that it's not going to work well. Especially with games like Golf+. The tracking works when the headset can see the face of the controller. The further away that the controller is, the worse the tracking will be. It is inconsistent and the tracking starts to jump, making it unreliable.

It seems, there are other extensions using a different method for Quest 3 whereby the controller is nearer the headset. But there wasn't any easily available when I purchased.

So it was easy to set up, I connected just the short extension and got it working reasonably with Walkabout Mini Golf. It wasn't perfect, but passable, but it did lose tracking on odd occasions, but they are minimal. Because the controller is far from you, you'll have to turn grip to putt off, if you use it, and set a custom grip.

Next, Beat Saber. And no... This just makes the game harder. The weight at the end not only affects tracking, but makes the quick movements you need for this game much harder. Just don't put yourself through the pain. As for the long pole for full length... I mean, I've tried it. You are wasting your time by doing so and I did for Golf+ and either short or extended, there will be frustrating or impossible moments.

The reviews here I cannot understand at all. It's misleading when you realise how the tracking works. You're never supposed to have the controllers more than arms length away with the Quest 3 and it seems like other companies have started to acknowledge this. So why this was released for quest 3 and why reviews are singing its praises is beyond me. This was rehashed from the Quest 2, a quick cash in and it's flawed. Avoid.

NOTE! I stand by what I have said, but after making this review, SpoSmart offered and gave me a refund of this product. SpoSmart clearly believe in their brand, which is in a very competitive space right now. If you wish to try the item and are not satisfied I would contact them.

AMVR designed some of the first (THE first?) Beat Saber baton controllers for the Oculus Rift. I used those for years without any issues. I really loved them, but it did take a fair amount of effort to connect the controllers to them.

Fast forward to the Quest 3, and I'm very impressed with the current design they use for their batons. I bought these because they're white and match the Quest aesthetic, but also because I trusted AMVR to get these peripherals right. They do not disappoint! This design is much easier to attach and detach, featuring two pieces that quickly and securely clamp the controller in place; one clamps down on the wrist strap, and the other clamps onto a groove in the custom battery cover they provide.

I've only used these for a small handful of Beat Saber sessions, but these were hours-long sessions, and I find these to be more comfortable than the previous design. They are lighter, yet a bit longer, and feel more substantial. My only "complaint" for Beat Saber, specifically, is that these batons are longer than the virtual, in-game grips -- well, sort of. If you include the controller sticking out the top, they are longer, otherwise the grips themselves are a similar size. But I think the size they chose is a good one for using in multiple games, and to support both small and larger hands (I have small hands, and they are fine).

After extended use, I'll update this review. So far, I highly recommend these.
