In the product blurb, there¡¯s lots of talk about being compatible with arca but that¡¯s only the top plate. The bottom locking plate is only compatible with the supplied top plate and won¡¯t lock another arca plate. I had hoped it would hold the L bracket for the Canon R8 but although that system has an arca fixing, it either doesn¡¯t connect at all or won¡¯t lock. So be careful if wanting to use this with other systems.
However, when used as intended with top and bottom plates, it works well although a little stiff in operation. It doesn¡¯t snap in like some other quick release systems and you have to push the button while attaching the top plate while sliding it in. However it¡¯s pretty solid when connected. Nicely made like most smallrig kit but a little clumsy in operation. I wouldn¡¯t really call it a quick release system at all.
