- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 January 2025I have often wondered if these weed brushes work, this one which has a decent length handle and comes with three heads, certainly looks the part, my front garden is paved and a large variety of weeds often sprout up in the gaps, I normally just use my strimmer to cut them back but within a few weeks they are back.
The big problem is at the moment it's the middle of winter and my weed count is way down, so it's not possible to give this a proper work out, however I did find a few stubborn weeds that have survived and quite a bit of moss.
Trying this out on the moss it did do quite a good job as it gets down between the slabs and clears out the moss quite easy, on large weeds such as dandelions it's more a case of wearing them down and although it cuts them down further than the strimmer as expected there will be no difference with the grow back rate.
The brush is great for mossy areas, but as big weeds really need to be removed along with their roots it's not a lot better than my strimmer, the strimmer is quicker anyhow. How long will the brushes last? again on the thicker weeds it needed a real scrub to cut them down so I have a feeling the brush in my case might deteriorate quite quick when it comes to the weeding season, the scraper did help a little using that first then the brush.
Quality wise the product feels quite sturdy, it comes in sections which need to be screwed together and the top section is adjustable to give more or less Hight.
