The media could not be loaded.

Having previously owned computer / electrical accessories from the company UGREEN, and having been very impressed with the build quality and performance of those, I was very pleased to be able to receive this USB switch to trial through the Vine program – and it has not disappointed at all.

Per photos with this review the item comes in a well presented box that contains; USB switch (6.5cm x 5.0cm), 2 x 150cm USB A to USB A leads and information leaflets.

To set up the switch is very simple – plug the 2 x USB leads into a USB port on laptops / desktops and connect the other ends to USB inputs on switch. Then plug USB device(s) to be used in the USB outputs on switch. Then the LED top right of the switch lights up blue where input 1 is active and green when input 2 is active. To swap between the inputs just press the button on the switch.

Please see video with this review that shows me swapping between the two laptops and how quickly it changes (with sound on you can hear the laptop disconnecting and the other connecting the USB dongle).

I absolutely recommend this as for me it means can have just one wireless keyboard and mouse on my desk in support of the two laptop setups I use instead of needing to have two!

I ordered this USB sharing box as I have a PC upstairs - my battle computer - and a Macbook. I like using a mouse and keyboard on my macbook whilst sitting at my desk but I hate moving the cables(I have to reach around teh back and it's dark and not easy to reach) and although I've room for my Macbook on my desk I certainly don't have room for two keyboards.
This tiny (bit larger than a matchbox) box from ugreen is a great solution for me - I don't need a KVM as I'm happy with my macbook screen and didn't want to spend that kind of money.

This switcher comes with 2 x USB A cables which are 1.5m long and are reassuringly thick - USB3 speed thick - these plug into the respective computer's and in the other side the peripherals go. To be clear - both peripherals switch to one PC or the other, there's no mixing and matching. It's a one button press to switch and it happens almost instantly.

Overall this is a well made, good value solution to a problem I needed to solve.

This device was easy to install and works magically to switch between two computers while using one keyboard and mouse. What the product description does not state clearly enough is this: both computers must be directly connected to your monitor. My monitor can accept HDMI, VGA, DVI, and DisplayPort input cables. I connected my old computer running Windows 10 to my monitor using a DVI cable. I connected my new computer running Windows 11 to my monitor using an HDMI cable. The device switches between the old and new computer. My monitor has a button that allows me to switch between the HDMI and DVI inputs. If your monitor accepts only one computer connection, this device will NOT work for you.

It's an incredibly small palm sized switch, and the LED indicators are very clear as one is green and the other blue. An issue I had with another USB KVM was that it couldn't pass special keys through like volume and media controls. I'm glad to see that they all work for this GREEN USB switch.

Another plus is that the included USB 3.0 cables are long enough to reach from desk top to my PC under the desk, it's about 1m long.

The odd thing is that the input/output labels are reversed compared to most products. Doesn't affect function after being installed but odd nonetheless. It would also be nice to have an extension for the button or remote

For the most part it functions well and passes all keys
