The SmallRig 15mm Rod Clamp (942) and the SmallRig Cheese Plate (1092) go really well together. Both are made from aluminium and are nice and strong. The rod clamp comes with two sets of bolts (2 long bolts and 2 short bolts) so you don't need to get anything else to join them together.
The plate can be attached horizontally or vertically to the rod clamp and in both cases can be mounted either to the top or the long side of the clamp giving a couple of different options to how to use it. I have mine set up horizontally as a battery plate at the back of my rig where the battery gives a bit of counter balance
