I bought this tripod to hold an infra-camerad over surfaces of various inclinations. The centre column which can be tilted does that job very nicely and precisely. I was impressed by the quality : flawless manufacturing, every glide or rotation is smooth and precise, no slack anywhere, the tightening is smooth and secure.
The tripod is sturdy, light weight and once folded stays in bag 65cm.
I also chose a "smallrig" because there are parts available for replacement or to extend the possibilities.
This product meets totally, and partly exceeds, my expectations.

Amazing tripod, with flexible uses. All joints are Secure. I will be using this tripod mainly for macro photography and stop motion animation, and the mutable angle’s possible with the small rig tripod will fit the purpose well. The ball tripod head is very responsive and the legs glide well. Well presented tripod and accessories which fit neatly in a handy carry case. I chose the small rig rather than other similar tripods owing to the excellent reputation and I am not disappointed with the quality.

This tripod arrived in a sturdy, branded cardboard box. Inside, the tripod and its accessories are packed in a very good quality ‘Oxford’ fabric bag.

A smart phone adaptor, monopod mount, sand bag, Allen key and instructions are included.

The various configurations are clearly shown in the product description so I won’t go into them here.

I have several tripods/monopods of various sizes and capabilities and it’s always difficult to decide which particular one(s) might be needed. The sturdiness and versatility of this tripod make that a thing of the past. I’ve only been using it a couple of weeks but it’s now my go to tripod.

It’s very sturdy even at full extension (I’ve attached a picture of it at its shortest and longest extension against a door for scale). The whole thing is metal except for the plastic quick release clamps on the telescopic legs. All adjustments/rotations in the ball head are smooth and everything locks/unlocks with a quarter turn of the screws. The mounting plate has a standard ¼”/20 screw and locks into an Arca/Swiss compatible mount that has a bubble spirit level. The rubber feet can be removed to reveal metal spiked feet if conditions require them.

I have another tripod that has a centre column that can be converted to horizontal but removing it and replacing it is a real faff and takes a few minutes. With this tripod the conversion is easy. You just release the locking screw and pull the centre column up to its full height. You then press a button set into the base of the centre column and this allows it to pass up through into the housing so it can be tilted (see video). One of the legs (the one with the foam sleeve) can be unscrewed and becomes a handy monopod.

There is a trade off for the sturdiness of this tripod in that it’s rather heavy but it’s still light enough to be portable especially as its versatility means you don’t have to carry other items.

This tripod is strong, versatile and very well made. Since I got it I haven’t used any of my other tripods or monopods as this is so convenient. At £133.90 it’s not cheap but the price reflects the quality and I’m happy to give it 5 stars.

It's always great (albeit becoming more difficult) to find a good quality tripod, that doesn't break the bank (or cost almost as much as your DSLR camera itself!) This SMALLRIG CT200 model fits the bill pretty nicely and gives professional performance and value for money.

There are various features that make it ideal for photographers who like to try their hand (or shutter?) at most things. I especially liked that you can invert the centre column, which is brilliant for low level and macro photography. It even helps in low light and long exposures should you be looking to try some at qwerty angles. Plus that smartphone holder is a great accessory - no more having your phone dropping out your pocket when your crouching over to compose your shot. There are a lot of ways you can use this tripod in different ways, other than just the bog standard down and shoot.

It's not quite prefect, I don't really like the leg adjustments and would have preferred a close/click and lock style. I also would have liked the spiked feet (which are hidden and you can use when you need them) to be a tad easier to level and secure in place. However, the build quality, features and the abilities this tripod gives you, along with a pretty reasonable price makes it worth it in my book.

Great tripod - it's absolutely top-quality, easily a match for the best know brands out there.

The tripod comes with a TON of adjustability - you can mount the camera upside down, sideways, you can mount it at an angle, and so on. Also, it comes with a smart phone holder, which is great for shooting video on the go.

My only complaint is the lack of quick-release base plate - that would be a nice addition.

But overall, this is an excellent product - almost like having 4 different tripods in one. The quality, the functionality is hard to beat. A really really great product for creative professionals on the go.

Wie fast alle Produkte von Smallrig ist auch diese Stativ sehr hochwertig verarbeitet. Auch das mitgelieferte Zubehör gefällt mir sehr gut. Besonders interessant, finde ich, dass sich damit sehr gute Überkopf-Aufnahmen aufnehmen lassen. Die Punkte, an denen die Stativ Beine ein rasten, machen sich durch ein Klick bemerkbar. Das ist sehr praktisch denn so war man direkt, wann alles sicher hält. Auch die Gewichtsobergrenze von zehn Kilo sollte positiv erwähnt werden. da kann man schon mal eine etwas größere spiegellose Kamera an Stativ hängen.

Da ich bei diesem Produkt keine Nachteile finden kann und auch der Preis stimmt, vergebe ich hier gerne die vollen fünf Sterne. Ich kann den Kauf nur empfehlen!

Smallrig nos esta acostumbrando a productos top cada vez en mas segmentos del mercado de la fotografía. Y eso es buenisimo, porque hace que la competencia se estimule. En este caso, es un tripode, de los que podemos considerar ligeros, pero robusto y versatil.

El diseño del tripode permite adaptarse a diversas situaciones y tipos de fotografía, desde retratos hasta fotografía de naturaleza (flores, insectos), lo que lo convierte en una herramienta muy util para cualquier fotografo sea del nivel que sea.

Una de las características más notables del CT200 es su columna central, que puede deslizarse hasta alcanzar una posición horizontal, permitiendo que las patas del trípode se aplanen y se acerquen al suelo. Esta funcionalidad es especialmente útil para la fotografía de primeros planos, ya que permite capturar detalles con una perspectiva única.

En cuanto a su construcción, el CT200 es sólido y estable. No presenta oscilaciones y todas sus partes quedan firmes. Las patas pueden resultar un poco rígidas al principio, pero se pueden aflojar con los tornillos allen, y las dejas a tu gusto.

El CT200 también ofrece la posibilidad de colocar la cámara muy cerca del suelo. Al quitar la cabeza de bola, las patas del trípode pueden extenderse completamente planas, permitiendo que la cámara se sitúe a pocos centimetros del suelo. Ideal para imágenes desde una perspectiva a ras de suelo.
