From the manufacturer
In 'Incredibles 2', Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of 'normal' life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack whose superpowers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don't shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That's what makes this family so Incredible.
Bob Parr
Cherishes his days as Mr. Incredible—a popular Super with mega-strength and the power to singlehandedly take out the bad guys. Ever since Supers were outlawed, Bob’s been mostly lying low, raising the family alongside his wife Helen. But when she’s called on to stretch her super skills and hopefully change the public perception of Supers for the better, Bob must manage the household on his own, which calls for a completely different set of super powers.
Helen Parr
Known in the Super world as Elastigirl, hung up her supersuit to raise the family with husband Bob, leaving their crime-fighting days behind them. But when she’s tapped to lead a campaign to bring the Supers back into the spotlight, she finds she can still bend, stretch and twist herself into any shape needed to solve the trickiest of mysteries. In short, she’s still got it.
Violet Parr
The firstborn of the Parr clan, is an introverted and intelligent 14-year-old teen who doesn’t quite fit in with the normal crowd. Socially awkward, outspoken and sarcastic, Violet plays her teenager role to perfection—all while secretly mastering her super powers of invisibility and creating force fields. A Super at heart, Violet can’t help her urge to fight crime alongside her family.
Dashiell Parr
Is a 10-year-old boy—restless, relentless, curious—with the remarkable power of super speed. Dash sports a hearty sense of adventure and a boundless supply of energy. He’d love nothing more than to show off his special skills and fight a few bad guys along the way—and doesn’t understand why he has to keep his powers a secret.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 July 2024Good film
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 November 2018It has been a while since the first Incredibles movie was released and I've always been somewhat disappointed that so many other movies have been followed up by Pixar but this one hasn't. Yep, now they have, and the story picks up exactly where it left off with a couple of twists. First, Violet's love life takes a serious left turn as Tony sees her without her mask but in costume and second, we see how the Underminer gets rich quick. However the Underminer isn't the main foe in this one and while he gets away, the family Parr end up in trouble again. After all, the law outlawing supers has yet to be repealed and the mess left behind by the Underminer and the family isn't appreciated. Frozone, however, hooks them up with an entrepreneur who seriously wants to make the supers legal again. He and his sister start off by bringing Elastigirl out of retirement and getting her involved in some serious rescue missions which turn out to be all the doing of a new, mysterious foe, the Screen Slaver. Who is the Screen Slaver? Just what are Jack-Jack's new powers?
The movie takes off where the last one finished and has all the same quirks and action that the first movie had. Edna makes an appearance, so do many of the characters from the original plus a whole new batch of supers. Yes, I enjoyed it hugely!
The DVD comes with another of the Pixar shorts - in Bao, an old chinese woman gets a surprise when one of the dumplings she made suddenly comes to life. A touching piece about a mother's love.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 August 2022I think I shall have to watch this again as at the end of it I realised I had almost laughed a few times. I thought the first one was very good and was expecting something along the same lines but, yawn.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 November 2022After years of waiting we finally got a sequel and it's just as action packed as the first.
We learn a bit more about their world and also have more family dynamics while the effects of what happened in the previous film ripple outwards.
If you loved The Incredibles or even if you just love hero films in general, I'd recommend this. It has a nice vintage comic feel as well that I really enjoyed.

Funny and entertaining film for the whole family. Was afraid the DVD would be scratched as it was delivered rattling around inside the case...fortunately, it was ok. Delivered before Christmas, so very happy.
