Press the button to flare the pins, then slide the NATO rail into the groove. Release the button to securely lock the NATO rail into the monitor mount, making your shooting more efficient and time-saving
360° Swivel & 160° Tilt: The camera monitor holder allows for a 360° swivel sideways and a 160° tilt with free-stop at any position and angle you prefer. Additionally, the horizontal axis tightness can be adjusted with the included hex wrench, and the tilt axis tightness can be quickly adjusted via the knob to better accommodate equipment of varying weights
For 5" or 7" Monitors: Designed to hold your monitor on top of the camera or other mounting systems via a NATO clamp, the SmallRig field monitor mount 4487 features a 1/4"-20 screw on top for securing 5" or 7" camera monitors, LED lights, or microphones.

Mounting my camera monitor with this quick release mount has been incredibly efficient. The 360° swivel and 160° tilt allow for perfect positioning without hassle. Perfect for my monitor!
I Mount this onto the Hawklock top handle, and can quickly take the handle off and Mount the monitor directly to my camera if needed.

Rotates nicely and pivots without an issue. Even when the knob is loose, it holds the monitor perfectly. The knob is great to lock it off completely. Love it.

The only issue, which is minor, and it has to do with the Hawklock systems, is that you are not able to tighten it onto the NATO rail, so there will be a tiny bit of wiggle.

It will also only work on their provided NATO rails.

Wish they could change the whole hawklock system to use standard NATO and just have a lever lock. Would be as simple and fast.

diese Monitorhalterung der Marke SmallRig wurde mir im Rahmen des ��غ�� Vine-Programms freundlicherweise kostenfrei zur Verfügung gestellt. Dafür möchte ich mich zunächst bei ��غ�� und natürlich auch beim Hersteller recht herzlich bedanken. Dass ich dieses Produkt kostenfrei erhalten habe, nimmt jedoch keinerlei Einfluss auf meine Bewertung.

Ich bin nebenberuflich als Videograf tätig und daher freue ich mich natürlich immer sehr, wenn ich solche Produkte testen darf.
Solch eine Monitorhalterung der (im Videobereich) bekannten Marke SmallRig, besitze ich tatsächlich sogar schon. Allerdings ist das die Variante mit Blitzschuhhalterung zum Festschrauben.
Die hier getestete Variante mit der Natoschiene kannte ich bis dato noch nicht.
Und was soll ich sagen, die Lösung mit der Natoschiene gefällt mir tatsächlich wesentlich besser!!
Warum?
Weil natürlich das Anbringen und Abnehmen des Monitors um ein Vielfaches schneller geht!
Und jeder der im Videobereich tätig ist, weiß, Geschwindigkeit ist Trumpf!! Oft muss es einfach super schnell gehen und da kann jede Sekunde hilfreich sein.
Dank der Natoschiene kann die Halterung einfach per Knopfdruck binnen einer Sekunde abgenommen und wieder angebracht werden. Bei der Blitzschuhvariante geht das nicht annähernd so schnell. Hier muss man immer das Rädchen festdrehen und wieder lösen. Das kann schon mal 10-15 Sekunden dauern. Manchmal hat man es etwas zu fest gedreht (man will ja, dass auch alles sicher und fest sitzt) und dann lässt sich das Rädchen nur noch durch Hebelwirkung über bspw. den Sechskant lösen. Also in der Praxis ist die Natoschienen-Lösung m.E. um LÄNGEN besser!!
Klar, Grundvoraussetzung ist natürlich, dass man bspw. einen Kamerakäfig besitzt, um die Natoschiene daran befestigen und überhaupt verwenden zu können.
Aber gut, ich sage mal so:
Jeder der etwas professioneller unterwegs ist, sollte auch mindestens einen Kamerakäfig besitzen. Für den Hobbybereich reicht dann natürlich auch die Blitzschuh-Variante vollkommen aus. Da muss es ja für gewöhnlich auch nicht schnell gehen ;-)

Auch ansonsten macht die Monitorhalterung einen insgesamt sehr überzeugenden Job! Sie ist super wertig verarbeitet, wirkt ausgesprochen robust, lässt sich (wie üblich) im Winkel verstellen und natürlich liefert SmallRig hier mal wieder Sechskantschlüssel mit.

Also alles in Allem habe ich hier rein gar nichts zu beanstanden. Das ist einfach ein sehr gutes Produkt in gewohnter SmallRig-Qualität, dass ich jedem nur wärmstens empfehlen kann!
Knapp 47,00€ mögen für solch ein kleines Zubehörteil zwar nicht gerade günstig sein, aber m.E. ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hier durchaus stimmig!
Von mir gibt’s eine klare Kaufempfehlung und natürlich auch die vollen 5 Sterne!

You don't want a nato clamp without some sort of locking mechanism, this approach by small rig gives that without the hassle of getting them off or over the pins. The indents act as an additional security point/locking mechanism to prevent sliding along the rail. Works wonders for mounting your expensive monitor but removes the hassle of quickly detaching it, if need be.
