Ariel

Eric

Eric is a hopeless romantic and appears to be rather dreamy, believing his true love certainly exists, but simply hasn't been found by the earliest points of the film.     I've been waiting a long time for the blu-ray release of The Little Mermaid, and this did not disappoint.
    It must be ten years or more since I last saw the film and I'm pleased to say that it's still as charming and as much fun as ever.
    The blu-ray transfer is lovely, with the picture cleaned up well and brilliant crisp sound - perfect for enjoying the classic songs like Part of Your World, Kiss the Girl, and Under the Sea.
    There are plenty of special features on this Diamond Edition, too, which should keep fans entertained for a good while after watching the film.

    All in all, a great quality blu-ray release of one of the classic Disney Princess films. I highly recommend it!

    What can I say about the Little Mermaid. I LOVE IT! It's sweet, it's innocent, it's touching, it makes you laugh, it makes you cry, the characters are brilliant, the animation incredible and the songs some of the most amazing songs ever written. It's never looked better, the new blue ray special features are interesting and you have all the features carried over from the 2 disc dvd from years ago. BUY IT.

    This is a presumed rating. I bought this for my daughter, but unfortunately she wont watch it yet. She knows there is a "Sea-Monster" in it, and since Cedric the Sorcerer in Sophia turned into a sea-monster, she tends to avoid anything containing a sea-monster.

    I'm gutted as I really want to see it, so think it may be a case of get her to bed and put it on

    This particular item came with a Disney Villains cover (Ursula) which I wasn't expecting but it's just a cardboard sleeve and the cover on the main box is the original one as pictured so it that bothered you you could just bin it.

    Let's face it, this is one of the classics with fantastic songs, characters and story. I am trying to get my 2yr old into movies so I have an excuse to watch them, but failed miserably. He managed 8 minutes, which is a record! The Little Mermaid has to be one of the best Disney movies though and deserves a 5 star.

    It has the Cinderella tale involved in the plot line but it is ultimately a beginners guide to seduction by a mermaid of a prince. Disney has always been a master at exploitation in relationships. Of course, most of this flies over the head of children who are innocent of the wicked lies Ariel tells. LOL

    I am so lucky to find this edition of The Little Mermaid now that the movie is locked back into the Disney Vault. Perfect in every way, sealed, no damage to the outer case, well packaged. The movie and all of the bonus features played well, no skipping. This is the Diamond Edition and has a lot of extra features. Fantastic purchase of my favorite movie!

    PLEASE NOTE: This is *not* a DVD. It is a Blu-Ray ONLY. It may not work with older model Blu-Ray players, but it works fine on mine. A lot of movies now have DVD and Blu-Ray, but this one is Blu-Ray only and will not work on a standard DVD player.
